Police comissioner Stephen Mold wins Northamptonshire vote by a landslide

Stephen Mold has won a second term as Northamptonshire's Police, Fire and Crime Comissioner.
The Conservative candidate, first elected in 2016, took a whopping 53 per cent of the votes with a 49,000 majority when results were declared after today's count.

Hide AdThat compares to the results five years ago when Mr Mold polled 58,175 votes in the final round of counting to beat Labour's Kevin McKeever by less than 10,000 after the UKIP candidate, Sam Watts, wad ruled out following the first round of voting.

■ Stephen Graham Mold, Conservative — 102,752 votes (53 per cent)
■ Clare Patricia Meechan Pavitt, Labour — 53,166 votes (28 per cent)
■ Ana Savage Gunn, Liberal Democrat — 29,621 votes (15 per cent)
■ Mark Anthony Hearn, Reform UK — 7,715 votes (4 per cent)
■ Turnout — 34.8 per cent
