Two dogs almost starved to death after Northamptonshire owner failed to give them enough food
Northampton Magistrates’ Court heard Danny Cohen, aged 24, allowed the weight of his two Husky/Rottweiler cross breeds, Conan and Cailen, to fall to a dangerously low level.
The court heard Cohen, who was living in a caravan in Towcester, split with his partner in September 2014.

Janita Patel, a senior prosecutor for the RSPCA, said; “She said both dogs’ ribs were clearly visible and she said the both looked like a bag of bones.
“She said to him ‘they are nearly dead, what have you done?’”.
The RSPCA took both dogs away to be treated and, within a few weeks, both dogs weights’ had increased by almost 50 percent.

The case was adjourned to allow for a pre-sentence report to be carried out.
