Hire narrowboat rescued after partly sinking in accident on canal in Northamptonshire
A hire narrowboat had to be rescued after partly sinking during an accident on the Grand Union Canal in Northamptonshire.
The Gayton Marina boat got stuck on the cill of a lock at Buckby, causing its front to drop below the surface of the water on Sunday, October 25, according to a passer-by.

Hide AdAn emergency boat rescue team managed to pump most of the water out of the boat and refloat it but the interior was still waterlogged, ending the holiday crew's journey.
Haley Hadley, marketing and sales director at ABC Leisure Group, which runs the marina, said: "No one was hurt and this was an unfortunate accident.
"We operate almost 300 boats across the county and we take safety very seriously. Our handovers are comprehensive and audited by British Marine."
