Dickens backing Saints pair Foden and Burrell to prove point to England boss Lancaster
The pair were among 10 men released by England earlier this week, seemingly suggesting they are not first choice for the opening November international against Australia next weekend.
But England’s loss is very much Saints’ gain as they prepare for a top-of-the-table Premiership clash with Saracens.

Hide AdAnd Dickens believes the two returning stars will be fired up and ready to make a big impact against the current league leaders.
“It’s really pleasing to have them back,” said the coach.
“Obviously we want all of our players to play at the highest level possible and who knows what the England squad will be over the next few weeks, but we’re glad we’ve got those two back.
“You can look at it as they’ve got an opportunity on Saturday to put in a performance and put their hand up for the next few weeks.”
Centre Burrell and full-back Foden could hold the key to breaking down a Saracens side who have won all five of their league games this season.

Hide AdAnd Dickens knows just how tough the challenge that lies in wait will be for Saints, urging them to stay switched on for the full game.
“Saracens have done well,” he said.
“They’ve won every game in the league so far this season.
“They were unlucky at the weekend (in the Heineken Cup defeat to Toulouse) when they could have possibly snatched the win with the drop goal.
“They’re a dangerous side from the first minute through to the 80th.”
