Cobblers could face derby date in Capital One Cup
Northampton have not been seeded for the first round of the league cup, the draw for which takes place on Monday June 17 at 9.30am.
They have also been placed in the south section, meaning they could meet Harry Redknapp’s Rangers at the first hurdle.

Hide AdAlso seeded in that section are beaten Championship play-off finalists Watford and Yeovil Town, who are managed by former Sixfields boss Gary Johnson.
Peterborough United have also been seeded, meaning Northampton could face a derby date against their local rivals.
Last season Town beat Cardiff City in the first round of the competition before losing to Wolverhampton Wanderers in round two.
