TICKETS have gone on sale for the popular Napton Festival of Music 2008.
The festival at Holt Farm, Napton-on-the-Hill will take place on September 13.
Headlining the event will be London-based band Bad Company who are taking time out of touring round the United Kingdom and Europe to appear at the festival.
The rock
group consists of Mick Ralphs, Dave Colwell, Robert Hart and Jaz Lochrie, with a special guest performance from Harry James. Among the group’s previous members is Paul Rogers, who has recently been touring with the surviving members of Queen.
Other acts for the festival have yet to be confirmed but the music won't be entirely rock based.
Gordon Clarke, the organiser of the festival, said: “We are just finalising the band list for this year's event.
“The headline act will be Bad Company but there will be a mixture of music at the event.”
There will be live music on the stage and in a marquee specially erected for the festival.
Gordon added: “We have got the big stage and the marquee for live music.
“In the marquee will be a mosh pit for anyone who wants to join in that.”
The festival has been running for three years and Gordon is hoping this year’s event will be an even bigger success.
He said: “Last year, we had 3,000 people turn up for the festival and it was a fantastic day.”
