A LATIN grammy award winning guitarist will be performing in the district.
Jose Maria Gallardo del Rey will be appearing at the newly renovated Old Stable Block at Fawsley Hall. He is taking time out of a tour with the Spanish National Orchestra and is appearing under the umbrella of Fiori Musicali, which has excited members of the group.

Penelope Rapson, artistic director, said: “It is always fun to have an artist of this standing performing at this venue.

“It will be really quite special to see him perform in this wonderful venue.

“It will be a great chance to hear him perform as he is a superb guitarist and has performed with a lot of famous musicians. He is recognised worldwide for his brilliant interpretation and impeccable skill.”

Jose has performed with John Williams, Elton John and Placido Domingo. He will also be performing with Fiori Musicali at a concert at The Stables in Wavendon, near Milton Keynes, on Saturday, July 4.

Penelope added: “We are all looking forward to performing with him at The Stables. He is a super musician and this concert will give people a taste of what this concert will be like.”

The Fawsley concert will take place on Sunday, May 17 at 7pm.

Tickets cost £22.50 for adults and £17.50 for concessions, and people can also enjoy a tapas supper reception for an additional £20.

Those who book a ticket for the solo recital at Fawsley will also be able get £5 off a ticket for the concert at The Stables.
