SHAKESPEARE'S classic tale of magicians, spirits, storms and love will be presented by a professional touring theatre company in an open air production at Canons Ashby.
The performance of The Tempest, regarded as one of Shakespeare’s greatest works, is a tale of love, comedy and tragedy and is set to wow audiences at an open-air production, performed by Chapterhouse Theatre Company, at The National Trust’s Canons Ashby House, near Daventry, on Friday, June 20.

Paul Hatfield, property manager at Canons Ashby, said: “The Tempest is a magical piece of theatre and set against the magical backdrop of Canons Ashby the evening is sure to be an enjoyable one for visitors.”

The Tempest tells the tale of a Duke and his daughter who are marooned on a forgotten island and 12 years later a tempest brings new enemies to the same shore.

Revenge is in the air and freedom beckons.
