NEWNHAM Girl Guides will be performing the Wizard of Newnham this weekend.
Based on the musical of the Wizard of Oz, a cast of 25 girl guides aged 10-16 will take part. The play is based on the original with an unusual twist when Dorothy discovers who the Wizard is.

Performances will be at 2pm and 7.30pm on Saturday and 2pm on Sunday.

Tickets cost £4 for adults, £3 for children and £12 for a family ticket of two adults and two children and can be bought from Newnham Stores.

Janet Ashwell, girl guide leader, said: “The children have had such fun in the rehearsals. We’re ready and waiting to get on the stage.”
