A ONE-OFF night of performances and puddings will be taking place in a village in the Daventry district on Saturday.
The Braunston Players will are staging Puddings and Performances in Braunston Village Hall at 7.45pm.

There will be a variety of entertainment, including poetry, readings and sketches.

Some of the sketches have been written by members of the g
roup, while others have been taken from British comedy shows like Monty Python.

In a break with tradition, the group will be performing down on the floor instead of on a stage. While the group is performing guests will be served puddings cooked by members of the group. People are asked to take along their own liquid refreshment.

Nick Gent, publicity officer for the Braunston Players, said: “Come along and enjoy a great evening, we can offer great value for money and we hope people will enjoy themselves with the entertainment we’re providing.”

It is the first time the group has done a show like this and money raised from the event will go towards putting on a Christmas show based around the works of Noel Coward.

Tickets cost £5 including puddings from the Boat Shop, Bottom Lock, Braunston, or by calling the shop on 01788 891310.
