A NEW musical show based around the music of Queen and disco songs is being performed by the Sky-High Theatre company.
The show takes place at the Nene Hall, Tamar Square, in Daventry next Saturday and will see a range of songs performed by the cast of 10.

Among the Queen songs to be performed will be Don’t Stop Me Now, We Will Rock You and We are the Champions. O
ther songs will include Footloose, Lady Marmalade and hits by Abba.

Sarah-Jayne Goodman, director of the show, said: “We have chosen to do this because they are real audience involvement songs and most people will love Queen.

“The disco music is an excuse to get people up on their feet and having a boogie.”

The show will be followed by a disco.

Sarah-Jayne said: “This is just a singing show as opposed to a play. We usually do a musical play every year. We do two or three musical shows every year.”

The cast members have been rehearsing for the past five months and Sarah-Jayne believes they are getting better after every show.

Sarah-Jayne said: “The students are really gaining in confidence and are starting to select their own songs to sing which is really good to see.”

Tickets can be booked by calling Sarah-Jayne on 07969 099916.

They cost £4 and include entrance to the disco that takes place after the show, which starts at 7.30pm.
