IN reply to the letter in the Gusher on October 2, I would like to thank the writer for attending the meeting of the planning committee on September 24.
I would point out that councillor Chris Long is not a member of said committee and is not allowed to vote, only members can do so.
Chris has been a tower of strength to us all in this area, both in 2007 and this year too. He has worked doggedly with us towards the same object and we give him our thanks and full support, as we do also to Glenda Simmonds, who spoke on behalf of Daventry Town Council. The trees mentioned are all subject to a Tree Preservation Order and should be protected under this.

Many thanks Chris, keep up the work – we need people
like you.
