How good it was to read that we are to get a state-of-the-art educational centre and new industrial buildings. Then the bad news – no new community and youth club facilities.
I presume that the people of Daventry who will work in these facilities will be working 12 hours a day plus as there will be inadequate leisure facilities to accommodate these people in Daventry when they have finished their day's work!

Why can't some of the 106 monies (what the developers pay towards community facilities) be directed at new community and leisure facilities, or has this money already been allocated to building the new canal arm?

While it's good to have premiership facilities in education and industry, our leisure needs are paramount in keeping the well-being of the people who are going to work in these facilities.

As these buildings will be eco-friendly the carbon footprint savings will have been lost by people travelling to Northampton, Rugby, Milton Keynes etc to use their premiership leisure facilities.

I have to ask the question why won't the big leisure companies come to Daventry?
