I read with some amusement that Daventry allotment holders are being asked to report theft of produce from their allotments.
Surely they must be aware that the police do not wish to record any further crimes – it would be bad for statistics!

So go ahead, try to get the local police interested in theft of vegetables from your allotment – but don't hold your breath for any sort of response or action. That might be cynical you could say, but as a retired cop and an allotment holder I know exactly what will happen – precisely nothing.
