I am writing in response to your front page article 'Crime rate falls in police crackdown' (Daventry Express, October 2), and would be interested to know what the police are doing about the well-known class A drug dealers in the area.
There have been several heroin-related deaths in the town over recent years, causing much sadness and frustration to families and friends at the apparent lack of investigation.

The police readily acknowledge that acts of theft and vandalism often have drug related elements, so why not round up these pedlars of filth and make Daventry a cleaner place for us all.
