The residents of Daneholme did not get in touch with Mr Meller (Daventry Express Letters, August 7)because we had a letter from the council saying the Daventry Brass Band hall would not be built on that site.
And we are all aware of the good work of the band for the town and we do want you to have place to practise.

But the hall will not just be for the band, it will come with other social uses that you would not have any control over once you let it.
Could the hall not be built alongside the new scout hut?
