The leader of Daventry District Council, Mr Millar, thought it was only fair to answer questions about our future developments (Daventry Express, July 3)!
Well here are few of mine – can Mr Millar tell me why we have to be first in the world with a PRT system?

We will be the guinea pigs and have all the problems to sort out? Can Mr Millar tell me now much this system will cost to run and maintain fo
r a year? How is he going to prevent it from vandalism?

How much is it going to cost to use the PRT? The only green issue I can see is to think a system like this can work in our town you have got to be green!

If Mr Millar has all the answers how about building a test track around Brixworth and then he can tell us when all the problems are resolved.

Henry Boot, the retail developer, is working the Water Space into its designs. Does that mean all the drains from the retail area are going to flow into the marina to prevent us having to pump the water up some 45 feet from the canal to the marina every time a boat wants to enter or leave?

How much is it going to cost for two pumps to maintain and run for a year?

Fair questions Mr Millar. Are you going to tell the residents of Daventry your answers because in the end it is us that will be paying!!

Steve Tubb
Daventry resident
