The reason given for our local council office staff requiring such prestigious and costly premises was that it would be a prominent feature and focal point for people arriving in the town from the north and east.
This magnificent building is now hidden behind a set of retail warehouses. Entry to Daventry from any direction is now met with a plethora of metal cladding.
