I refer to your recent headline concerning Mrs Boikovs wishing to get a permanent public memorial for her son, Josh Granfield.
I too would like a permanent memorial for my mother who died last year.
She loved Daventry and spent a lot of time here – it was her second home.

Ideally it would be nice to have a commemorative plaque engraved and placed on a special seat in a special place that she loved.
She really enjoyed the Daventry park where she used to watch the world go by and enjoyed seeing all ages playing the park – especially at this time of year when the tennis courts are regularly used.
It would be nice if this idea was possible, as it is in many other places.

I am sure a lot of other people would be interested in this proposal as it would be nice to have something near to sit and remember a loved one.
