In RESPONSE to the email by Sheila Maurby in last week's Gusher, I feel she has wasted most of her 300 plus words, in telling us what we already know.
Mr Meller has tried to sidestep the issue, very neatly, he complains that none of our "group" contacted the band from "over a year ago". The letter we received telling us the application was withdrawn is dated December 7, 2007, I have the original here, and we were not informed of a renewed application until the council's letter, dated July 14, 2008.

Why would we contact the band? It would have been in the band's interest to contact us, as it is the band that wants to move, not us!
I feel the band has wasted time, not looking for a different site for the new building, but I hope it finds one as I have not heard one word against the band

I agree it is an asset to the town, but it must be possible to find a more suitable site than one in our vicinity, as this has been a residential area since building commenced in 1958.
