TWO men attempted a distraction burglary at the house of an elderly woman in Pattishall yesterday (Thursday 27).
At around 4.10pm two men tried to enter the house in Blacksmiths Close claiming they were from the water board and needed to check the water supply.

The first man is described as white, aged in his early 20s, about 5ft 7ins, of slim build with short dark hair. He was wearing a navy blue suit and a white shirt.

The other man is white, in his late 20s, about 5ft 10ins with a round face and a fair or ginger pencil moustache. He was wearing a brown top, dark trousers and shoes.

They both left on foot but were followed at speed by a black or dark navy soft-top vehicle which may have been seen by witnesses in the area.

Witnesses to this incident, or anyone with information, should call Northamptonshire Police on 08453 700700, or information can be given anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
