A VILLAGE pre-school celebrated its 40th anniversary in style at the weekend.
Napton Pre-School was set up in 1968 and on Sunday organised a special event to mark the birthday.

More than 200 people went along to the village hall for fun, games and other party favourites to celebrate the community organisation.

Louisa Ogden-Metherell, chairman of the pre-school, said: “It was a brilliant day and we had a lot of support from the local community.

“We had two of the people that founded the pre-school and some people who were in the first class and who are now parents themselves.

“Everybody really enjoyed themselves. We had a bouncy castle, pony rides, and lots of games for people to play, including the obligatory party games for the children.

“The children loved it and had a whale of a time.”
