A MODEL enthusiast has built a replica of a 1902 fire engine.
Dave Stirling, from Weedon, has spent more than two years building the model of a chemical fire engine.

Mr Stirling said: “Model making has always been a hobby of mine and it just seemed like a good idea to build one.”

The model, which is eighth of the size of the real engine, has been built out of wood, old pieces of metal and spare pieces of material.

Mr Stirling is now planning to donate the model to Weedon Fire Museum. He added: “I have been trying to get hold of someone from the museum in the hope that they would be interested in the model.”
