A DAVENTRY family is looking forward to a weekend away and a year's supply of pizza after being named winners in a competition.
Tony and Sarah-Jayne Goodman and their children Alfie and Charlie were down to final 12 of the Goodfella’s Family of the Year competition but narrowly missed out on winning the top prize. However, they have won the regional award and will receive £250 worth of Butlins’ holiday vouchers, a year’s supply of Goodfella’s pizza and a certificate.

Mrs Goodman, of Plough Close, Lang Farm said: “We’re really pleased and looking forward to a weekend away with the boys. Thank you to everyone that voted for us and got us to the last 12. That’s an achievement in itself.”

Mrs Goodman put her family forward for the competition to say thank you to her husband for everything he has done for her. The couple have been together for ten years and stayed strong despite Alfie, three, and Charlie, two, both being born prematurely and suffering complications.

The youngsters are now fighting fit and Mrs Goodman described them as the ‘most loved children in the world’.
