Fewer people killed on roads

ROADS across Northamptonshire are safer than they were last year.
According to figures released by Northamptonshire County Council, there has been a 24 per cent reduction in fatal casualties and an 8 per cent reduction in child casualties compared to the previous year.

Councillor Liz Tavener, cabinet member for community safety for the council, said: "The figures demonstrate a lot of the good work being carried out by the casualty reduction partnership in reducing the number of collisions on county roads."
