A FIELD was deliberately set alight yesterday afternoon believes the fire service.
The alarm was raised at 1.40pm that stubble crop in a field off the Priors Hardwick Road in Upper Boddington was on fire.
Crews from Daventry, Woodford Halse and Warwickshire were called out to deal with the fire, which covered 15 acres.
The farmer created a fire-break using a tractor and the crews worked with beaters to put out the fire.
