A VILLAGE church was filled with flowers as part of a summer spectacular which raised £2,500.
St Faith’s in Kilsby was transformed with a host of floral arrangements celebrating the summer.

The village’s Summer Spectacular, held on Saturday and Sunday, also saw stalls, cream teas, an art exhibition, barbecue and children’s entertainment take place.

Churchwarden Gill Mason said: “We must have had a fair few people come over the weekend because we managed to raise £2,500.

“The whole event was called the Summer Spectacular, and that was the theme for the floral displays.

“We had displays including ‘A Flight of Fancy’ which included lots of butterflies, ‘Summer Border’ and one on window boxes.

“We also had 96 children from Kilsby Primary School who each contributed a small flower arrangement.”

Money raised from the spectacular will go to the general fund at St Faith’s.
