OPINIONS of the people of Daventry will be put forward at a planning appeal for a 5,150 home development on the edge of town.
Daventry Town Council is asking anyone who wants to have their voice heard on the Danetree Village development appeal to contact its clerk.

The Daventry Express exclusively revealed the plans to build the homes and other infrastructure on land east of Borough Hill, between the A45 and Norton, would be taken away from local decisionmakers and decided on by the Government.

Glenda Simmonds, chairman of the council’s planning and development committee, said: “The town council will be making representations to the planning inspector regarding its position on the proposed Danetree Village development.

“It could well be the case that the WNDC will be in a position to determine the Church Fields and Monksmoor applications – having regard to the Danetree proposal – prior to the appeal hearing, for which a date has not yet been set. People should contact the clerk for details.”

The town clerk can be contacted at townclerk@ daventry towncouncil.gov.uk, by calling 01327 301246, or by writing to Suite 1, Bishop Crewe House, North Street, Daventry, NN11 4GH.
