A MASKED ball in aid of a local school could have raised in excess of £20,000.
The fundraising ball for The Priors School, which serves Priors Marston and Priors Hardwick, was held at the Heritage Motor Centre in Gaydon, Warwickshire, on Saturday. A final total raised from the ball has not yet been announced but it is likely to be in the region of £20,000. The Priors School relies solely on donations to stay open.

Jill Sutton, one of the trustees for The Priors School, said: “It went well and many of the people seemed to really enjoy themselves.”

At the ball, prizes including the rental of houses in this country and abroad and days at the races were auctioned off while a meal was prepared by the centre. Around 200 people attended the event.

Mrs Sutton added: “I think considering everything that has gone on, we were very happy with the amount of people that supported us on the night.

“Without this money we couldn’t carry on as we would not have enough money to keep the school running.”
