DAVENTRY and South Northants Home Start announced a new patron at its annual general meeting last week.
Tim Boswell, Daventry MP, was unveiled as a new patron of the organisation at the meeting held at The Abbey Centre, Market Square in Daventry on Monday, April 21.

The SureStart scheme is designed to offer support to families with young children who are experiencing difficult and stressful situations.

Carol Hulm, senior co-ordinator at SureStart, said: “It went very well from our perspective and we are grateful for all of the support that we have had from people in the past year.”

She said the scheme was delighted to have the support that Mr Boswell could provide.

Mrs Hulm added: “We are very excited at the prospect of working with Tim.

“He is well-respected, committed constituency MP who has advocated on behalf of the people in this area for many years.

“We will value and appreciate the support that he will give us and feel that he will be a great asset to the charity.”
