THE Pitsford Water Treatment Works has been producing water free from cryptosporidium for the past four days.
However, Anglian Water has said the boil notice will remain in place while the water distribution network is flushed and cleaned.

Further checks will be carried out and customers must continue to boil their drinking water until they receive a notification card from Anglian Water.

As a result of the progress, Anglian Water is hoping to lift the boil notice for more than 60 per cent of the customers by the end of the week. The remaining households will be phased in over the following fortnight.
