Amazon recall power banks due to fire risk

Six models of a portable charger have been recalled by Amazon, following reports of catching fire and burning users.

The Amazon Basics Power Bank models were sold between late 2014 and mid 2017, and branded as Amazon products, although they were manufactured in China by the Guoguang Electric Company Ltd.

Around 260,000 units of Amazon Basics power banks are affected, with various battery sizes. This includes 16,100mAh; 10,000mAh; 5,600mAh; 2,000mAh with micro USB cable; 3,000mAh and 3,000mAh with USB micro cable models.
