Long Buckby Rugby Football Club held their annual charity match last Saturday which resulted in an entertaining and hard-fought match.
The score was 57-12 in favour of the Present Players but the winners on the day were the charities, as the match raised more than £600 which will be presented to the nominated good causes in the near future.

For the Present Players, Jonny Nixon, Jonny Hughes and Craig York all crossed for two tries apiece. Richard Ryan and Karl Salisbury claimed one each. Beau Carney kicked six conversions to round off the scoring.

For the Past Players, which included such names as Stuart Brodie, Stuart Dunkley, Ian Solomon and many more, there was a try each for Neil Taylor, Mark Dickens and Geoff Kenning.
