AN AMBITIOUS town football club will be in the TV spotlight when they kick off their new season.
Media football site Soccer X TV will be at Daventry Town home games from the start of the UCL campaign.

They will film highlights and conduct post-match
interviews.

The prestigious development at the forward-thinking club, which plays at Communications Park, follows news that the media football site www.soccerx.co.uk has confirmed sponsorship with Shebang mobile distributors.

The firm's MD Iain Humphrey saved Daventry Town a couple of seasons back when a devastating fire threatened the club's future.

Humphrey is also the inspirational chairman of Daventry Town who last season ran away with the Division One title race, under the direction of manager Martyn Walker.

Founder of Soccer X TV Geoff Lines said that the venture also seeks to help charity.

Last season they raised close on two thousand pounds.

A total of £1,000 was raised from a Soccer X charity football game and a further £1,000 through shirt auctions.

The media football site also links up with universities round the Midlands with students getting media experience with Soccer X which they can use as part of their coursework.
