Drayton Grange 4
Not much between the two teams in the first half, with corby taking an early lead, and then a cracking strike from Carly Lakey to make it even. Corby scored before half time. Drayton equalized early in the s
econd half through Ellie Smithson. A tight game, both teams ending 4-4.

Drayton Grange Colts U10s 1
Parkland Tigers Stripes 0

A thoroughly deserved win for the Colts who once again defended magnificently and the midfield pressured Stripes throughout the match. Harry Hakin hit a super free kick after 10 minutes to put the Colts 1 - 0 at half time. Jacob Ireland held the ball up well, linking play, during the second half and created further chances for the Colts who unfortunately didn't increase their lead. Stripes put some pressure on late in the game, but Tom Sharp and Matthew Coleman once again performed their defensive duties superbly.

Daventry Town Vikings U9s 0
Welford Victoria 4

Welford started strong and got two early goals and this unsettled the Vikings but there was some good play from Rowan Humphries and Charlie McCarthy. The play was not all one sided with the Vikings attacking strong on more than one occasion but Welford found the back of the net twice more. Man of the Match the whole team and well done to both teams.

Drayton Grange Diamonds U13s 5
Black Panther White 0

A superb team performance today from Diamonds. Daniel Murdoch opened the scoring early and Jack Hogben scored two more before halftime. Stephen Dwyer scored the fourth after good build up play and Tom Collins added the fifth from the penalty spot after a badly timed tackle on Jack Hogben. Daniel Murdoch was excellent throughout and got Man of the Match.

Dav Town Danes U10s 1
Hartwell 0

Resolute defending enabled Danes to savour their first clean sheet of the season and secure victory away at battling Hartwell - their hosts first home defeat. Dylan Hanna scored after 10 minutes of a pulsating game, the tension lasting until the final whistle. An excellent Reuben Holtom went close with a number of chances to extend the lead, while Louis Jones was on top form in goal to help Danes grind out the win.
Player of the Day - Dylan Hanna for a brave attacking display.

Soccer Stars 3
Drayton Grange U16s 0
In a goal-less first half Phil Emery had the best chance for Drayton Grange but lost his footing as he burst through the Soccer Stars defense, allowing the goalkeeper to recover the ball. Despite excellent defending by Fran Glover and Gary Birtles, Soccer Stars managed to score twice before Michael Emery brought another save from the home keeper when he controlled the ball on his chest and unleashed a left foot volley. Karl Shingler was unlucky to be beaten again towards the end to provide a flattering final score.
Man of Match was Gary Birtles.

D Town Saxons U8s 3
Delapre Dragons Black 2

The Saxons made a slow start to the game and had to defend from the off in this even contest. Delapre took the lead mid way through the first half with an excellent strike. Ryan Maxwell scored from close range to equalise for the Saxons just before half time. After the Dragons goalkeeper made some excellent saves, Delapre took the lead for the second time. Daventry battled hard and were rewarded when George Price equalised once more after a good run. After defending well the Saxons won the game when Greg Fisher scored just before time.

Dav Town Saxons U8s 6
Silverstone Racers Flyers 0

This was the Saxons best performance together as great teamwork brought an excellent result. After a series of corners Greg Fisher opened the scoring which was followed quickly by goals from George Price and Ryan Maxwell. Daniel Fox had an excellent run down the left and shot narrowly wide at the end. George Price added a fourth for Daventry before going on to complete his second hat trick of the season. Logan Hall turned well in the box and saw a shot well saved. Thomas Ware defended well when needed and set up Greg Fisher to complete the scoring and a tremendous display by the Saxons.

Drayton Grange D U 5
Hartwell 4

Drayton Grange DU u12 fought hard to gain a 5-4 victory against a good Hartwell side. A tight game with plenty of chances saw the sides go in at half time 3 apiece with George Pyne(2) and John Cooknell scoring the DU goals. They fell behind early in the second half but battled on and got their reward with a stunning Bailey Long effort. They won the game late on with a goal from unlikely match winner left back Brett Stapleton. The true stars of the show though were the two keepers though with DU'S Tom Barge taking man of the match with several great stops including a fine penalty stop

Drayton Grange Blades U9s 9
Delapre Dragons Stripes 0

The Blades pinned down Delapre in their own half with 2 goals from Alex Kaufman, 2 from Joseph Iacovides and a goal from Nathan Reynolds. Second half Delapre put pressure on with a couple of good strikes, good defending from Will Brown. Blades came back with a cross from Iacovides causing an own goal .A goal from Sam Robson. Iacovides completing his hatric and then a final goal from Thomas Tayles making a good result.

Daventry Town Vikings U10s 0
Bugbrooke White 0

Todays game was played on a wet and muddy pitch which clogged up the boots instantly.
Both teams played at a good tempo regardless of the conditions, passing and moving well. With Taran Patel showing he is progressing well in goal Daventry pushed forward at every chance. Again Jack Goodman, Luke Stevens and Jordan Koria proved to be a tough defence to break through and supplied the ball up to the midfield effectively. Blaine Evans, Charlie Whiteside and John Maxwell worked the wings well and provided some good balls from out wide. Mason Phillips and Bradley Osborne-Wells battled well in the centre of midfield playing early passes out wide or attacking up the middle but most importantly stopped Bugbrooke attacking at key moments in the game. Sam Flockhart showed great movement up front confusing Bugbrooke on corners and set pieces and was unlucky not to score.
The second half was the half full of action from both sides. Daventry won free kick after free kick and also won a penalty from a Bugbrooke hand ball in the box, but today was one of those days where the ball avoided all contact with the back of the net.
Again though both teams provided an exciting game played in a great atmosphere. Were it not for tired legs from the heavy, mud encased boots both teams would have passed and moved the ball even better and demonstrated the fast flowing football they both had in the locker.
Player of the match goes to John Maxwell for his persistence and creativity down the left wing.

Drayton Grange Colts U14s 1
Eagles United 2

The Colts were made to pay for squandering chances in a game they should have closed out in the first half. With only 10 men the Colts played well but Sloppy defending in the second half allowed Eagles the opportunity to grab much needed point s.

Long Buckby Stags U9s 0
Billing United 9

The Stags battled well in the first half against a good Billing team and despite spending much of the half in their own half turned round just 1 - 0 down. The second half proved more difficult with Billing netting early and then scoring freely to run out convincing winners. Charlie Cross was the Stags MoM .

Daventry Town U15s 2
Harpole 2

A fantastic team effort with a goal from Kyle Young after 15 minutes, Harpole equalised just before half-time. Kyle Young scored again for Daventry in the second half with Harpole replying in the last five minutes making the final score 2-2. An excellent performance by all.

Long Buckby Bucks U9s 1
Bugbrooke Black 2
The home team took the lead midway through the first half when the defence failed to close down an attack. A determined response followed from Buckby, with their efforts resulting in a thunderbolt equaliser. The second half saw chances created by both teams before a deflected free kick decided the game.
Man of the matchand goal scorer was Owen Morton
