Ladies bowl their way to victory

The ladies of Daventry Town Bowling Club played a friendly game against West End on May 6. Daventry were winners by 50 shots
to 34.
Highest winning rink for Daventry were Julie Spreadbury, Rhona Holland and Jan Bradley.

On the same evening at Daventry, West End beat Daventry Town in the men's National Double Rink Competition.

Daventry ladies were also in the TLH Ladies Top Club competition. Daventry managed a narrow win on shots, 75-56, against
Abington Ladies.

A highlight was a "hot shot" by the Daventry
fours rink.

That afternoon, on a fast green, Daventry men played host to PSL Roade in a club friendly, but lost 84 shots
to 105.

Highest winning rink for Daventry were Tony Dicks, Keith Bishop, Bob Worth and Dougie Mitchell.
