Mixed fortunes in KO Cup

This week saw the Ladies' Singles Knockout Cup played at the St James Club.
In the preliminary rounds the first game saw Annette Heath (81,89) overcome S. Saunders (89) followed by Paula Giles (100) who overcame Andrea Hillyard. Michelle Gibbs (81x2,92,98) beat Sam Harris, 'Bells' Doney (89,95) saw off Cheryl Astill (100,80), L. Tyler beat S.White (81), Adele Heath (86,100,109) won against Suzanna Davies (98,82,85) and Becky Lawrence (81,85) saw off the challenge of Debbie Harper. Donna Taylor (100,81,85) beat J. Hicken.

In the quarter-finals, Paula Giles (85) won against Annette Heath (80x2), Michelle Gibbs (98) ended the challenge of 'Bells' Doney, Adele Heath (126,81) overcame L. Tyler and Donna Taylor (100,93,81) won against Becky Lawrence.

In the semis, Michelle Gibbs (97,81x2,100,98) edged out Paula Giles (81,83,84,85) and Adele Heath (91,120,92) beat Donna Taylor (85x2, 12587).

Michelle Gibbs will play Adele Heath in the final on finals night on June 4.

Congratulations to all 16 women who took part in this competition.
