Former Daventry Town manager Tony Perry is to rejoin the Communications Park club in a new capacity as director of football.
"Pez" was one of a small band of enthusiasts who kept the Town afloat during the dark days a couple of years ago when a £5,000 annual rental demand from Daventry District Council threatened to put the
club out of business.

Mobile phone magnate Iain Humphrey then came along in the nick of time to rescue Daventry Town from extinction. The rest, as they say, is history.
The Town ran away with the UCL Division One title and reached a UCL KO Cup final against Desborough Town under Perry's successor Martyn Walker.
Jack-of-all-trades Perry moved on after acting as the club's manager, general manager, treasurer, secretary, barman and programme editor at various times.

A former Daventry Town and Ford Sports' full-back, he also had short spells as a backroom boy at both Woodford and Ford but said he was "glad to be back and feeling rejuvenated by a year off.
"When I left the Town new chairman Iain Humphrey said there would always be a post available for me if I wanted to return.

"Iain has been true to his word and I am ready to come back at such an exciting stage in the club's 123-year history."
