Tense competition for final night action

This week saw the finals night held at the St James Club.
The first games were the semi-finals of the men's doubles with the first match seeing a win for Gary Birch (121, 105) and Mark Taylor (121, 100x2) over 'Bully' (100) and Mick Doney.

The second semi saw Ray Jones (100x2, 140, 135, 120) and Andy Du
nne (100x3) overcome Dave Hewitt (127) and 'Wadey' (100, 125).

The next match saw The ladies' singles final which was sponsored by Iain Harper. This saw Adele Heath (89,88) beat Michelle Gibbs (100) to take the title.

In the next match, the landlord's cup final, Dave Hewitt (100x3) beat Gavin Taylor (100).

The single's semi-finals were sponsored by Exit Menswear and in the first game 'Bully' (100, 121) beat Shaun Gibbs (100x2). The second game saw Mick Doney (100x2, 140) beat Troy Miller
(100, 123).

Up next was the double's final which was won by Ray Jones (100x2, 140) and Andy Dunne (100) over a resilient Garry Birch and Mark Taylor (100,121).

The last game of the evening was the men's single's final in which Mick Doney (100, 116f)
overcame 'Bully'.

Congratulations were expressed to the winners Ray Jones and Andy Dunne, Adele Heath, Dave Hewitt and Mick Doney who will be picking up
silverware on presentation evening for which the date will be announced
shortly.

Thanks were expressed to the sponsors for their continued support throughout the
competitions.
