Victory sees Motormen clinch league title

Ford Sports followed up their midweek victories over
St James and Plume Pirates to clinch the league title on Sunday with a comprehensive 5-0 success against
Abercorn A.

A tight competitive opening half ensued with little to choose between the sides.
The deadlock was broken just before half-time as Damon Black scored from the penalty spot. The Motormen ran riot after half-time as Black went on to bag a second-hal
f
hat-trick with Tom Waldock adding a fifth.
Greens Norton 2
Onley United 3
With Ford wrapping up the title, nearest rivals Onley United made sure of runners up spot with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Greens Norton.
The visitors opened the scoring through John Aherne and Joe Manning and looked good value for their lead.
But the Onley youngsters showed real resilience as Matt Nyatt and an Ash McCleary double saw them fight back to claim maximum points in their final game of the campaign.

Napton 6 George 1
Napton's third victory of the season came with a
scintillating 6-1 success
against George.
The sides had gone in level at the break as Luke Chard's penalty for the visitor's being cancelled out by the home side's Reg King.
Napton cut loose during the second-half with King
eventually taking his tally to four, and Lee O'Shaunessey's double rounding off
the scoring.

Division One KO Cup – Round Two
St James 1 Plume Pirates 5
Plume Pirates moved
convincingly into the KO Cup semi-finals as St James were dispatched 5-1 in a Jekyll and Hyde display.
Anthony Lake
netted for St James.
The second-half saw Pirates finding form with both Mark Hyde and Craig Hyde (2)
netting.
Pirates' keeper Craig Humphries turned in a superb display in between the sticks and saved a penalty, before Jamie Humphries and Mark Fell added the others.
